Identifies motivated, underserved middle school students and supports them on a path toward college.
NOTEWORTHY: According to the 2020 Pell Institute's "Indicators of Higher Education Equity in the US," 20% of New Mexican low-income students enroll in college.
Provides career and college mentoring and strategic guidance to high school students in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.
NOTEWORTHY: New Mexico consistently ranks #50 out of 50 in the country for K-12th grade education and the overall high school graduation rate in New Mexico is low at 79%.
Addresses the academic and nonacademic needs of students, identifying students at risk of dropping out to ensure they stay in school and achieve in life.
NOTEWORTHY: Per the 2021 US Census, 18.2% of Santa Fe County families with children under 18 live in poverty.
Educates and empowers children and families to make healthy food choices through hands-on nutrition education with fresh, affordable foods.

Improves educational and life outcomes for Santa Fe’s children through academic support, life skills mentoring, and intensive tennis training.

NOTEWORTHY: With a population (ages 16-74) of over 111,000, nearly 60,000 adults in Santa Fe County require Basic Literacy tutoring services.

Provides free structured literacy tutoring and social emotional support for hundreds of striving readers.

Provides medical, dental and behavioral health services to individuals and families in need, regardless of ability to pay.

Provides a home and supportive services to individuals who were previously homeless.
NOTEWORTHY: 20-25% of the unhoused population in the US suffers from som form of severe mental illness.
Provides trauma-informed care to individuals and family members experiencing domestic violence to break the cycle of violence.
NOTEWORTHY: Our county ranks in the top third of counties in New Mexico with the highest domestic violence rates.
Provides a safe place for grieving children, teens, and families, where healing happens through acceptance and peer support.
NOTEWORTHY: New Mexico is the state with the second highest percentage of bereaved children.
Offers hope and comprehensive services in a safe place for anyone who is homeless or vulnerable as they overcome adversity.
Enhances the well-being of elders with dementia and those needing support in daily activities through group and individual activities in an adult day care.
NOTEWORTHY: Santa Fe has an aging population with 24% over the age of 65. With cases of dementia on the rise, there is an insufficient number of caregivers available to meet the need.
Helps homeless and displaced individuals and families achieve self sufficiency through comprehensive support programs.
NOTEWORTHY: In New Mexico, there are over 3,000 homeless people on any given night.
Offers free youth suicide prevention counseling services to teens and families.
NOTEWORTHY: Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people age 15-24 in our country.
Empowers children and adults who have been victims of sexual assault.
NOTEWORTHY: In New Mexico, one in four women will experience sexual violence in their lifetimes.
Provides emergency shelter, food and services to the most vulnerable, with a goal to end the cycle of homelessness altogether.
NOTEWORTHY: In 2022, 138 people successfully moved into housing.
Provides seniors the opportunity to join exercise classes, skill building sessions, and mental resiliency coaching in a highly social environment.
NOTEWORTHY: We want to age in our home of choice, but a fall can easily wipe out one's ability to live independently. Extensive research indicates that physical activity improves balance and strength and is the most effective at decreasing the incidence of falls.
Delivers life-changing shelter and support for homeless, runaway, and in-crisis youth.
NOTEWORTHY: There is a strong correlation between youth homelessness and low household income, school dropout, substance abuse, mental health issues, and experiences of childhood abuse.
