About Teen Savings Accounts

Las Campanas members recognize the value of investing in the future of the Club's employees. The Teen Savings Account program is partnered with Prosperity Works of Albuquerque and establishes custodial savings accounts for teenage employees or children of employees. These are high school students, and the savings account may represent their first banking experiences. The funds in these accounts may be used only for costs related to post-secondary education, such as college or technical school. 

The initial account grant is $1,000 per individual and additional contributions by the teen or his or her family will be matched by the Las Campanas Community Funds up to $500 per year. In 2025 there were 21 participants, receiving a total of $2,175 in matched funds.
 

Like the Las Campanas Community Funds’ Scholarship program, the Teen Savings Account program is sustained by member donations, interest earned on the corpus of the Fund, and fundraising activities such as the Scholarship Classic.

Since inception in 2020, a total of 27 accounts have been established for employees and their family members. The total amount in saver's accounts as of 12/31/2025 is $26,336.06!!!
