Carol McCormack McDonald

Carol was born and reared on a cattle ranch and farm in Texas, south of Dallas. She graduated from Texas Tech University and taught Spanish and English for several years in Texas and Louisiana. She also did post graduate work in artistic photography at Sam Houston University.

In 1992 she and her husband Mac moved to The Hague, The Netherlands, where she studied art and art history. She painted with the widely known British artist, Jean Jones and also studied portraiture with the Dutch painter, Sinje van Der Groot. For seven years she painted with a group in the Hague.

Since moving to Santa Fe in 2001, she has studied with various nationally known artists, including Evelyn Boren, Grant McDonald, Roger Williams, Joe Anna Arnett and gold leaf with Nancy Reyner, in Santa Fe, Scottsdale and Mexico. Carol paints portraits, landscapes, floral still life and Cowboy
