Nancy Silvia

Growing up near the ocean in Connecticut, Nancy claims one of her earliest visual memories is of the horizon line, and earliest influence as an artist the marine paintings of New England. Drawing and painting were a primary activity since childhood. Nancy earned a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Painting from Yale University.

Nancy works primarily in pastels and enjoys working en plein air as well as in the studio for larger paintings.
